Texas man spends $2.2million to transform his backyard into an enormous water park with FOUR pools

When it comes to summer in Texas, one man has created a unique way to stay cool by building four enormous pools in his backyard.
Hal Jones from Austin says he wanted to create a pool experience that was 'second-to-none'.
With the state regularly enduring triple digit temperatures, Mr Jones said he found the perfect place on the shores of Lake Travis.

Four pools good: The pools are worth an estimated $3.2 million

Grand ideas: Hal Jones from Austin, Texas, built a total of four pools on his property

Lazy days: Mr Jones says that most people's pool is the lazy river pool where people get moved around whilst sipping on a drink

Grand designs: The pools are the brainchild of Evan Mills who came up with the innovative zones
Evan Mills is the pool's designer and says he set about creating the four pools each with their own design style.
'We have the hot tub, the kiddie pool, Lazy River and Negative Edge pool,' says Mr Jones says with a smile. 'I traveled throughout Texas and saw how people loved the lazy river pools.'
He built the lazy river pool to include a swim-up bar - all to entertain his friends.
The pool holds 190,000 gallons of water which can flow at speeds up to up to 8 knots and also includes a waterfall.

No expense spared: The 60-foot water slide can be see in the background. Just the concrete support structure cost $45,000
You've just got to dive in! As the summer weather in Texas regularly reached 110 degrees, a pool is often the best option

Infinity pool: The entire area is immaculately landscaped

Swimming drunk: Mr JOnes says he wanted to create a pool with a swim-up bar so that he could entertain his friends

Wanna get wet? The Lazy River pool allows you to get soaked (or not!)
'You don't need to get out of the pool to enjoy a drink!' Mr Jones says.
'One of my favorite things to do is to sit at the bar and watch a football game, watch my kids go around - and you don't have to check on them. It's when they don't come around that you need to check on them!' he jokes.
Such cooling power doesn't come with a cool price tag - it cost $450,000 for the Lazy River pool alone.
'This is a million dollar pool because of the scale!' says Mr Jones reassuringly.

Deep in the heart of Texas: Mr Jones decided to place his pool on his property next to Lake Travis so that guests could arrive by boat
